Nanam Restaurant

By far one of my favourite Filipino restaurants in Auckland! The staff were super friendly and introduced each dish to us, giving the best recommendations. I went here with my boyfriend for our anniversary, and the chef even made us a special dessert, which was absolutely delicious. By the end, we were so full and satisfied from all the dishes. I honestly can’t pick a favourite since everything was amazing. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

We went to Nanam to celebrate my son's 16th birthday. We were greeted like friends, the food was amazing, friendly staff. Valve for money. Will definitely recommend this place and go again.

I have been curious about Nanam's menu as I have seen several social media posts about the food. The place's decor is very Filipino. You are also warmly welcomed as you come in. Our server Jel is very attentive. We booked for a high tea menu. The food was both savory and sweet. There was unlimited Jasmine and Pandan tea. The choux pastry and slider buns can be better improved.I loved the panna cotta. I suggest you order calamansi tea. Very good. I also make it a habit to look at the toilets when visiting restaurants. The cubicle I was in did not have a toilet seat. I think the management need to do something about it. Overall it was a good experience. They have cultural presentation and they serenade you as well which add to the Filipino atmosphere.

A palate experience! Had such a fantastic time at Nanam in Takapuna! The food is absolutely delicious—every dish feels creative but still comforting. The wagyu longganisa was a standout, packed with flavor, and the beef cheek was melt-in-your-mouth good. The vibe is modern and welcoming, perfect for a night out with family or friends. The staff were so warm and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for something a little different, with bold flavors and a fun atmosphere, I can’t recommend Nanam enough. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience. We ordered mocktails and we were very happy with both of our drinks. The cauliflower had good flavour. The sisig was definitely a favourite - very lovely pairing with the fresh lettuce pieces on the side. Wasn’t too sure on the roast chicken - while the flavours were good, it wasn’t as tender as we’d like and didn’t have a crispy coating like your typical roast chicken. Halo halo was amazing- great medley of Asian dessert flavours. Staff were very friendly and the decor was lovely.

No wonder why this place is part of Top 100 Auckland Iconic eats, the food is amazing, it is giving fine dining vibe but affordable price for sure. The Wagyu sausage is a must try with the tortillas, everything is a flavour bomb! Check out their paella and live music Wednesday, the vibe was so good. Highly highly recommend

Our first meal in Auckland during our most recent trip and we felt so spoiled by the hospitality of the staff, from front to kitchen. Met the amazing crew and met owners Chef Jess and Andrew. We loved everything we ordered and the bonus dishes from the kitchen including the cake! The place is unapologetically Filipino, from the interior to the food. Classic flavours reinvented with local Aotearoa produce. Love the ambience and so proud to see the place filled with locals on a weeknight!

Loved how tender the pork belly & beef cheek was. Tacos were also on point, melted in our mouths. Appreciate the awesome service too. So kind and took the time to answer our questions on what the dishes were. Worth the drive from south auckland.
